Honestly I really like Octillary for whatever reason. Octopuses are cool to begin with, but its artillery theming means it gets a really cool moveset filled with powerful moves and a pretty nice signature move.

It's too bad I've never done a mainline playthrough with one.

Gun evolves into a tank. Their shared theme is weaponry, the marine animal stuff is a sidenote they added to make them more applicable to Pokemon as an aesthetic and make them more child appropriate.

I'm sure everyone on this board knows about the weapon theme between them. Remoraid is a revolver and Octillery is a turret.
But I don't think a lot of people know that the remora fish has a suction cup on its head, which it uses to latch on to other fish like sharks and manta rays (latching onto Mantine just turns it into a fighter jet)
So the connection isn't just weaponry, but that they both have suction cups.

He’s just neat. Moody and Sniper are both fun to mess around with, even if Octillery isn’t particularly threatening in general. Pretty good movepool. Signature move needs a buff in base power / accuracy (and would be WAY better if it boosted evasion over dropping accuracy).
