I just played Pokemon silver and happened to just catch a SHINY NATU. I played this with a black and white gameboy so to look at my shiny Natu properly I moved the cartridge to gameboy color. And.... and the save was gone. There was no continue option at all.

WTF IS THIS? HOW COULD I LOSE MY SAVE JUST LIKE THAT. The clock never indicated that it stopped working. In fact I swapped the clock battery 3 years ago. HOW COULD IT STOP WORKING JUST LIKE THAT? IT WORKED JUST FINE YESTERDAY.

I'm so pissed off.
