Definitely not flawless and part of it depends on your general reception to typical romhack shit (fakemons, the plot, new type, etc), but I think it's worth a shot. Small word of advice, doubt it's changed since I last played but early on in the game it'll ask you if you want to play either with standard exp mechanics or exp. all. I'd honestly go for the exp. all as otherwise you might find a few spots where you'll have to grind for a bit like I did.
Pic related was a surprisingly incredibly based team member. Speed Boost as an ability + Rev Up. If it doesn't start shredding through teams by itself, then baton pass over to Goombear (who's prevo isn't the greatest and takes a little while to evolve, but becomes an incredibly solid mon on its own right later) to easily sweep.
