All starters in Scarlet/Violet have hidden abilites.
Also the way pokemon evolve will NOT be the same as PL:A but the same as every other title.

Because in PL: A you only needed the one version sort of and could use in game items to evolve pokemon.
Now you get the joys of having to buy two versions of the game and go through the usual trade lotto to evolve!

Game design wise, they did that because PLA focuses on filling up the various objectives for each Pokemon's dex entry. Wouldn't want to not be able to complete the rest of Magnemites Thunder Wave and Thunder Shock requirements if he evolves.

That being said, it is absolutely a better QoL that should stay because it's convenient than having to be forced to use an everstone you'll only ever get 1 of in an entire playthrough

Kaka is posting again but they're talking about how the leaks made their job difficult and they had to work overtime(boss was not happy), also they said leaks had to be blurry because of the watermarks/tracking code
