I think it's much simpler, they just like to change up their news cycle for each release, for better or worse. Gens 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 have all had wildly different release cycles, with 5 and 6 being the only ones that had any sort of remote similarity.

The fools who want to have "muh favorite pokémon from my first game" lack self-awareness over other consumers who lack such past and may require to buy past games and respective consoles to transfer their pokémon to the current version, not to mention that you have to get jewed into subbing Bank. Lacking any of these requirements towards your goal is the equivalent of being Dexcut, as well as inequity in comparison to others who are able to transfer, thus creating a scenario of 2nd hand pay-to-win.

that's the least of the concerns, the gts on Home is plagued with hacked mons, making it difficult to obtain a legal event pokémon.

Gamefreak already defends pay to win retard. We got DLC for SwSh and the online rulesets of using 2 legendaries, which the second DLC is literally all legends, has been the same for nearly a year now. Pay $30 to use Calyrex which slaughters 70% of the game. Then you have BDSP requiring to buy Legends Arceus just to catch Arceus. Fuck off. You put in the same amount of time catching Pokemon in any game, there is no advantage of transferring now that movesets get killed just to use something online. Why are you defending spoonfeeding zoomers? New games get exp candies, nature and ability control at its easiest compared to older games.
