PMD is more about getting chipped by lots of attacks over a long period of time so being immune to one type out of 17 doesn't really change much in any fundamental way.

Funny thing is that isn't even the closest thing to the most broken item in the game. The Wingull line gets an item that recovers 1 PP on a random move if it takes damage. If I remember right, this also works when it takes hunger damage too, so you can do shit like have infinite PP by starving yourself to death, roosting off any damage, and hitting anything that comes your way with a Concentrator (group D IQ) accuracy boosted Blizzard or Hydro Pump.

Only possible time for them to announce a new PMD would be at February Presents

There’s been 2-3 years between releases on the same console. I could see it going either way, but I’m betting on either a Sky remake this year or a new game next year.

We'd get a remastered soundtrack, which is something that modders can't do. But for the most part, I agree. We don't need an Explorers remake, especially when the base game is more playable and less dated than Rescue.

How much does Lonely Courage boost? The game seems both easier vs common dungeon enemies yet bosses got buffed incredibly high. I know I use to be able to solo almost everything as soon as you were allowed to do so in the original but now even after a good Buried Relic Run bosses are still a big problem with a decent team of 3

Any boss encounter is completely solved with the orbs that max your evasion and attack. The speed one is also good if you want it.
My main boss-killer was a Heracross with Rapid Bullseyes and all multihit moves (I also linked Pin Missile and Bullet Seed for insane long-range damage)

I mostly just have my starters, Swampert and Charizard, they dealt with Moltres pretty easily, but Charizard took some rough hits (I buffed myself a lot more than Charizard), Articuno was a little tougher only because it just kept freezing me over and over, we used some berries but no Reviver seeds lost
I don't typically use buffs or orbs because I usually never needed to in the original. Haven't really abused the OP Rapid Bullseye or something either.

That reminds me of how Sky had it's own website before its release. Said website had info advertising the game and you could play the feet minigame there. It also had a widget program that you could download and it showed up as a PMD themed clock on your desktop.

For some reason is just feels easier to catch Mew in OG Rescue Team, it just feels like higher spawn rates and catch rates, but I just haven't gotten that far to test it again
And yeah, that is annoying for the other bosses, but I always found most of them easy enough to rush to the end and just solo win everything

Was Dark Crater with Cresselia that bad? I remember whenever I had to fight Darkrai, I would immediately just fling a seed at him and take on his minions one by one. The real struggle was if you brought Shinx or Pikachu as your partner and the Rhyperior on his side made him useless.

I used them to keep various teams around in case some teams were on a break. Also teambuilding with new mon instead of the main duo is fun at times.

Good, egg grinding should be useless outside of egg-only pokemon.
One of the best decisions PMD devs made was no IVs, no natures, and letting pokemon use all their abilities at once. No egg moves is also good

Should I give my Swampert Hydro Pump over the Water Gun that I've been using all game?
Full moves are Tackle, Water Gun, Blizzard, Earth Power
Water Gun and Tackle are more basic moves with lots of PP to getting rid of single targets, so not sure if Hydro Pump would be worth it considering the other Nuking moves

I have only played Red Rescue Team on the GBA and Explorers on the DS. I have waited so many long years for a PMD that catches my attention, but to no avail. At this point I'd settle for an Explorers remake. I didn't get DX because I thought the GBA version was pretty much fine as it was. Explorers I really liked though, so I would shill out money for it.

I mostly thought of it because of the Strong Foe Gyrados in that one dungeon where it had a huge blast animation during a different save file, wiping out that team. Which may or may not have actually been Hyper Beam instead, don't remember, haven't actually been there with my Swampert Team yet.

the main issue with the original is Partner AI being dumb as bricks most times, like standing still while enemies assault you or constantly stepping on traps that are already visible

Most of the QoL is more a common sense thing than casualization-- sure, you can dodge traps by manually changing tactics or use proper type matchups by turning on and off moves, but the former is ridiculously stupid and the latter's more an act of mild convenience that sometimes you're better off manually changing anyway.
The enemy AI also became a lot smarter too as a result, nothing's more annoying than a shitmob refusing to approach you when you want to conserve ranged PP.

If you have text speed mods, Gates to Infinity is decent. The storyline for it is one of the game's strong points, and building the Paradise feels like a souped up friend area (though not as visually interesting), by recruiting teammates and setting up shops there.
Super's probably the best of the newer entries, the gameplay's a bit more item-oriented, but as a whole it addresses a lot of complaints Gates had and brings a fair amount of new things to the table.

Not really open world. Instead of do x missions for new story mission, you find x location. Instead of getting lucky with a billboard quest or copying a wondermail for new dungeons, you find them yourself.
But that's the only way I can think of to make a PMD style game with a horrifyingly long campaign while sticking to the whole rescue team theme.
If we're willing to give up that theme and have an on-the-rails experience which would make SMD look liberating, it'd be easy.

It was decent fun in my first playthrough. It had some cool moments, especially the one scene where the Tree of Life ascended to the stratosphere. Still, its probably the PMD game I would want to replay the least, even after Gates.

Recruitment boosts are Friend Bow (required), Inviting Orb, Friendly and Squad Up Rare Qualities, and False Swipe.
If you haven't, also have a look at the dungeon's page on Bulbapedia, as strong foes can only appear on certain floors.
Though I certainly won't blame you for giving up on it as shiny grinding is not terribly fun

The only thing considered a nerf is no doublehit A attack, not that it'd help here. In some cases, it could be considered more busted than ever, since Minimize gets you +2 per use, and with unburden that's +4.

Yes and no, I would probably be a lot more picky then cyndaquil, also Im not interested in first stage evos usually, since it implies that they are young children. It has to be at least a mid evo or above.
