I finally got to try this generation and holy fucking shit. These have to be the most soulful Pokémon games I've played since the DS era. Peak Pokémon soul. How do you go from making these games to the souless shit that is Sword and Shield?

IMO, on the first playthrough they’re one of the funnest and freshest Pokémon games out there. To me though they don’t hold up as well on replays due to their pacing and either version of the story falling apart when you start to think into it.
