my guess is probably that heatran is responsible for SOME volcanoes only

while groudon is all the land on earth (or just Hoenn idk lore that well im just guessing)

I thought it was kinda interesting. All the weird one off legendaries that you can find in the post game that weren't plot related in gen 4. Kinda pads out the post game for you if you weren't too into the battle facilities.

Volcanoes are like primary school little science project. Creating continents are big boys job. There's a lot of difference. Typhlosion, Entei, and Heatran are like little children compared to Daddy Groudon

Why do the Anemoi (the Gods of the four winds) exist when Aeolus (the God of winds) exists? Why does Aeolus exist when Zeus (the God of the sky) exists?

If we’re treating Legendaries like gods, gods overlap and delegate aspects of their domains to lesser gods all the time. If we’re treating them just like very powerful rare monsters, why can’t they just happen to overlap?

Pokémon don’t actually have these larger-than-life duties and powers. It’s folklore, myths and legends. That’s why they’re called mythical and legendary Pokémon. Saying Kyogre reigns over the sea and actually meaning it would be like claiming Poseidon actually rules the sea.
And that’s also why regions have different supposedly “overlapping” legendaries - every region and culture has its own folklore and legends.

Arceus isn’t actually god you know.

Legends Arceus? Yeah I actually didn’t play it but I find it hard to believe it establishes anything beyond Arceus being a very powerful and mysterious mon.

I haven't played it since I beat it months ago, so I'm probably off by a bit, but I believe it says that Arcues as we see it is just a small part of an actual being. Like when you capture it, it's because the overall being deemed you worthy of having a fraction of it's power.

Again, I might be wrong on some of that. Despite being in the title, Arceus itself has very little presence in the game outside of the intro and the fight when you 100% the dex.

Watch the opening cutscene, it's pretty clear the Being Arceus, who calls the player to Its dimension before sending them to the past is the God of everything, as it's displayed as a brilliantly blinding white light (as pop culture has established is one way of presenting a deity beyond Mortal comprehension, as old as the bible). That Arceus the Pokémon is the described as "the heavenly fount from which pours the light that shines across Hisui. Its luminance guides and protects all Pokémon." makes it pretty clear (not that the game didn't beat the player over the head with an anvil about it).

First part of this post is good, and provides a reasonable explanation. In many cases, Legendaries and Mythicals do not need to be solely responsible for the aspect of the world they represent. Entei, Groudon, and Heatran all being affiliated with volcanic activity is fine, as they are each native to a different region. Furthermore, they each have varying degrees of power, with Entei being the least, to Groudon being the greatest.
