Given how useful the upside is, it’s definitely viable to build a team around it to keep Typhlosion’s health to max.
With Talonflame, it’s not as worth it since its only good STABs have recoil and you might as well use Rillaboom over Talonflame.
Just for comparison, the strongest priority in the game is Yveltal’s Sucker Punch.

A Pokemon can definitely be good with support. Look at Arctozolt. It’s B+ rank in OU and it requires a ton of support just to have a “fast” Pokemon with Bolt Beak and ice coverage. Or look at Volcarona before Gen 8. One of the single most deadly Pokemon in the game but needed a hazard remover, maybe 2, and a Heatran/Toxapex check as well, but is still an OU stable.
Typhlosion would literally have more than double the damage output Yveltal’s Sucker Punch has and can deal 75% to Toxapex in Sun.
It is absolutely worth having Wish, Defog, and Drought on a team to have something that easily forces switches and is even harder to switch into.

That’s only true if Typhlosion’s team lacks Wish/Healing Wish & if the opponent had Sand/Hail, or if the opponent has Anti-priority.
If it has Wish support, it can do it multiple times, and do it at least twice with Healing Wish.
If the opponent doesn’t have Sand or Hail, the only realistic way you’re chipping a Typhlosion against a smart player is a surprise Toxic or a surprise priority move. And even with Sand/Hail, it would need to something that was sacked or Tyranitar switches into Eruption.
You can say the same for Talonflame, but Talonflame’s strongest priority is Brave Bird and otherwise would need to use DWB. This is “Noticably stronger than the strongest priority move in the game” priority we’re talking about. Priority that can do 75% to Toxapex. Its existance would force every HO to run Tapu Lele or Alolan Ninetales since otherwise they have no real way to deal with such a strong priority attack.

You can't keep just saying stuff without backing it up. WHAT indirect damage? You're not hard switching Typhlosion into anything for the same reason you don't hard switch Weavile into anything except for a predicted switch.

Again, you're dodging the question. What fucking pokemon in OU can do this? Weavile is the only mon in the OU tier capable of this and it has to die in exchange.

And Yveltal is Ubers.
And it’s also not just slightly stronger either. It’s more than double and able to 2HKO some of the bulkiest Pokemon in the game.
If it can 2HKO Blissey with a Special Attack, then imagine what it does to regular Pokemon.
It would need support, but it’s not too much to ask for a Defogger and Wish/Healing Wish support. Almost every team runs a Defogger anyways and there are Defoggers with Defog+Wish or Defog+Healing Wish.
For what you get out of it, it’s really worth it.
