From what the leaker said, I'm thinking it must look like a non-water Pokémon from Gen 1 that is in fact at least part Water and crawls (obv). Seems weird considering the other one is also Water-type, but I digress.
So what non-water mon from Gen 1 could be reasonably mimicked by a "crawling water mon (think crustacean, salamander, etc)?
My guess is gonna be Tangela. The fact that it's already a mysterious-looking mon whose true form is obscured by tangled vines makes it an easy target. A few things it could be:
An anenome Pokémon
A seaweed Pokémon
A coral Pokémon (maybe like "brain" coral?)
A octopus Pokémon
A seasponge Pokémon
Any other ideas?
