From eyeballing it, the region looks like it is probably smaller than Hisui. Maybe the first three areas plus 80% of Coronet Highlands, or at most the first four plus 20% of Alabaster Icelands
Leaker did say that the islands and oceans would add up, but so far I don't know if the ones we can see right now are all there is to see.
My gut tells me based on experience that the southern cliffs with the ponds is not explorable because there's no trails there, but we literally can fly anywhere so we should be able to go there. Good news.
There are several towns and cities, it had been a major fear of mine that what we now know to be Mesagoza is not the only one. That's a relief. Also, having several towns gives us more miles per gallon here on the region size, we've never seen a full fledged open world region with full camera control and with a full set of towns.
Look at the north. We see a small bit between the mountains, but additional areas have been concealed by the mountains in map artwork before, like in Alola, Hisui, to a lesser extent Galar. I think there's more to be seen along the northern coast but not toooo much.
Lastly this is bordering on hopium but the landmass to the northeast is clearly where Kalos connects. They could have made this an island to get around that and they didn't. I know damn well that even a Kalos DLC is very unlikely but I just want them to acknowledge it at least with a confirmation on where it is. They really like to avoid the overall world geography of the regions.
Also, you have no idea how stoked I am that my buddy Eelektross is back.
