There are a couple outlier digimon that are just weird, and every rank of digimon DOES actually usually have "tiers" within it, with some being weaker or stronger, but usually that's just hype, or a very unique case. Sometimes Digimon that are supposed to be strong will get better optimized stat spreads. Ironically, Renamon is not often one of them, as it usually tries to pull off Fast, Mixed Attacker vibes, but ends up feeling more like Blaziken than Infernape, so to speak. Spreads itself too thin.
Something you have to get used to in Digimon's summaries and profiles, especially as you enter Ultimate, but sometimes earlier is that most Digimon are described as the strongest ever, or have utterly silly attacks, or other bullshit powers, but all the other ones too. Pokemon descriptions tend towards a bit more reasonable and objective, but almost Lk Digimon descriptions sound like the worst offenders of gen 1, except 1 Indian Elephant wasn't enough, this thing kills ten thousand Indian Elephants with one attack.
Nothing can resist Digimon X's attack, as it peels through armor to do bad things.
Digimon Y's armor is made of bullshittanium and cannot be breached by any attack.
Digimon Z can see all possible realities, and use that to dodge attacks before they are launched.
Digimon W launches a thousand missiles that strike from alternate realities.
And so on.
