The first five gens sold just fine without any gimmicks, I don't know why GF seems so hellbent on having a new one every generation since Kalos other than "muh merchandise" when new Pokémon, new evolutions, new regional forms, new characters and a new region to explore are already good enough as selling points when gimmicks are nothing more than a waste of time and development resources that could be used elsewhere

I am holding my opinion on this mechanic until I've seen all of the hats. So far, I only like this Eevee because the giant crown is pretty amusing. It's not a good design, for the record, but I just like the concept of Eevee having a fuckhuge crown that would weigh a ton.

Been playing since I was a kid in the 90s anon. Gens 3 and 4 are my favorites though. The physical special split was a godsend. Gens 1 and 2 are good but competitively theyre a mess due to early installment weirdness. Gens 3 and 4 properly fleshed the series out.

OR. It only gets the stronger stab if its tera form matches its original type. So you have to choose between a type change or stronger attacks (and getting rid of a secondary typing you don't want).

It'd be better as a normal evolution, because then it would still be allowed to chose from 3 abilities, instead of being stuck with one that's effectively no ability in singles.

I seriously had this one guy on another site saying he was glad that we are paying more for a base game that has less content, happy about paying for DLC paywalled Pokemon/content (that should've been in the base game), PLUS having to pay to play online & pay for Pokemon to sit in Home/Bank.
We're getting less content, lazy content, & paying extra for shit that was previously included in the base games price. Gaming has been so fucked these few generations...

reminds me of a story I heard about japanese salarymen being asked to contribute ideas for a game. One dude just wrote '' Duck Notebook" on his form or something similar. The boss was intrigued by the simplicity of the words Duck Notebook so he put the dude in charge of making a game based just around that. The problem was that guy was just fucking around and wrote those words randomly so he was forced into hell trying to make a passable game out of it instead of admitting he didnt have any ideas and was slacking

This feels very much like some intern say "but what if pokemon had crystals"
