People still haven't caught on to the fact that Fairy is largely represented by sweetness. Sweet tastes and smells, to tie in to their sweet personality. Cute and sweet is Fairy Type's thing and they repeatedly associate Fairy with sweetness.

I know in-universe it's just ice monster like Cryogonal, but Vanillite really should've been retconned to Ice/Fairy. Also Blacephalon should've been Fire/Fairy so you could have like a carnival + carnival snacks monotype theme team.
