This. Passing up an extra damage boost while also potentially ridding yourself of a couple of weaknesses by removing a secondary typing is too good to pass up. Salamence would prefer dishing out more STAB damage after a dragon dance to snowball moxie rather than trade its current weaknesses for another set of weaknesses.
