If you played gold you played this shit. Literally the worst third version, yes even worse than USUM. But that was two versions which was a fucking atrocity.

Crystal is great anon, enjoy!
I just completed the Pokedex a couple weeks ago, if you have a spare 3DS lying around I recommend picking up Gold or Yellow so you can use exclusives and trade mons, it's really fun. I used a Girafarig on my team that I traded from Gold and she was a real team player.
I wish you luck on finding a shiny.

Use Suicune since it is the box legend and you can get it early. Most mons are garbage but unlike the remake you can use shitmons and badge boosts and stat experience carry them.

Crystal is so great that I play/replay it every year
You also get access to the Celebi since you're playing the DS version.
P.S. Learn the duplication glitch & how to get all 3 starters glitch, it will make things even better
