I replayed BW last week in PokéMMO though
dialogue was deeper than I remembered but hey that doesn't add more content and BW is lackluster in that regard

Not at all
The DLC's have entirely different focuses that doesn't effect the main plot. One of the big reasons DLC sucks for Gamefreak.
They created a characters who happens to be related to Rose, but did nothing with it other than a quick reference.

Especially since just a while ago before this trailer people were hyper-focusing on the professors being the obvious villain.

Rose wasn't obvious either, he was just really fucking stupid and poorly written to bring up the problem at the last minute with the Rose Tower Romp being the worst thing Gamefreak ever did.
