I dunno, I like the concept of forcing us to fit the setting. It gives the game a more unique flavor if they go harder in characterizing it as a school academy project.

I kind of agree with both at the same time.

I don't mind you being forced to work under limitations but something tells me its just cause lazyness. If that was the case they would have put some effort on the rest of the customization, for example allowing us to change the face a bit.
It seems they didn't even add skirts, I guess to not have to make two different models.

There should be 8 uniform variants, 4 per sex. Girls would be these top 4. Default is short sleeves, but you can change to the others after the tutorial. Ignore the dates and 5th image, it's an old picture I made to illustrate how uniforms would work in a year-round show.

Overall I think it had better characters, pokemon designs, and a region that, while small, felt actually finished. Kalos literally feels unfinished towards the end, and while everything up to the third gym felt great, everything after that is rushed to hell. It's enough for me to see it as a move in a positive direction. Then we got Gen 8.

This is the thing that made me seethe the most.
I thought the reason why we were playing with a borderline toddler was the school setting. I dislike it, but whatever, I can cope if there's a "story reason".
But then they go and add this to the game's background.
And on top of that we get the most bland as fuck player characters ever and yet it's also the most fucking shitty customization so far in the franchise.
Remember all the people saying that the customization was gonna be fuck-huge and that's the reason why the player characters were so bland? Oh, look. They were fucking wrong.
Just what the fuck is their fucking problem?
