The only thing from PLA that's removed is catching it seems. And this is NOT QoL.

They confirmed online battles though.
Not having a ranked season as soon as the game launches is annoying but definitely a minor issue.

So yeah aside from dexcut, I see no issue so far.
Of course, the conference happens this month too and it's going to be full of shit decisions.

They ain't giving me what I want, they're giving Twitter zoomers what they want. We can only hope that at some point in the next decade it backfires and they decide to make good games again.

So for Shiny hatchers it could be far worse because instead of just getting 3 lines for 1 egg you now have to sit in a amie type thing & get them then hatch them.

Khu or Kaka said breeding was replaced with some kind of picnic thing where the Pokemon just brings you the egg. Breeding was pointless as of SwSh because items now do everything you would have done with breeding. That shitmon you caught at the start of the game can be just as viable as the shitmon you spent twenty hours breeding.

No it isn’t. Especially not when the models actually have visible geometric differences now. The devs wasting time putting Volbeat into the game does nothing to improve it.

This. And I think even if they're still kinda ugly the graphics are a massive step up from SwSh. The world looks no where near as lifeless now and the Pokemon don't look as out of place as they did in that game. I hope they fixed the Wild Areas godawful weather system. Pokemon at least look like part of the world now. They don't roam at random they're in packs, they're doing things like laying down and sleeping too. I hope some of the interactions in the trailer happen in game too like Fletchling pecking at Pineco.

Anon there are going to be 1000 or more Pokemon after this gen. It is unrealistic to expect them all to appear every game moving forward even with the reuse of models. That is fuck load of wasted dev time that could be spent making a smaller batch of Pokemon better. They'd have to check so many assets so many times over in so many scenarios even a longer development time (Which Pokemon games have sperate teams anyway and development overlaps so even with yearly release we're seeing 3 to 4 years of development per game in most cases) it's a lot of work. The cut was meant to start with SM and we can see starting with that game what remains has been getting rebalanced and buffed. Quality over quantity. The animations were shit in SwSh but PLA really proved less can be a good thing when it comes to the Pokemon themselves. It's been like 5 years anon you're going to have to let go and reach acceptance. Especially now that we are getting better models and animations like they promised. The mouths not being textures anymore is really worth not seeing everyone every game.
