No one liked Dynamax/Gigantamax.
The new crystal hat gimmick is also shit and already getting memed on.
Mega was a good gimmick and Z-moves an inoffensive one.

They stopped making megas because they were unique and took time to individually design and distribute stats/abilities to.
Why bother when you can slap a stat boost or “tera type” which will 100% be based on some preexisting value and call it a day.
