>>51123606The last Pokémon game I bought was Alpha Sapphire digitally. Prior to that I bought Pokémon X physically, but by then I told myself I was going to quit Pokémon. I just bought the Gen 3 remakes out of curiosity/nostalgia and the addition of new Megas. After that happened, I got exposed to the shittery of Ohmori-directed Pokémon games and swore to never get another Pokémon ever game again. I skipped Gen 7 and Gen 8 entirely. Right now I'm just spectating Gen 9, but depending on how the full game story works in the open world in recorded walkthroughs plus the entire dex of new mons, I MIGHT pirate it, but it's not guaranteed. Right now I still need to see more info to make a decision. I'm still leaning on "Probably not getting it." though.
This fandom got infiltrated by shit eating zoomers with no taste whatsoever, it's amazing the lengths in which they'll go through to defend Gen 6-8, they are clearly worse fames than the older DS/GBA/GB games, but I guess some people just have too weak of a willpower to not let this franchise go due to sunk cost fallacy or whatever.
