I don't think a single trainer has a full team of 5 or 6 that all have items, though. And I don't think any of them use competitive, non-consumable items like Life Orb etc.
Cynthia, for example, just uses a single Sitrus Berry on her ace even in the post-game.

Her entire team does have items in Challenge Mode. I'm not sure if that's the norm for Challenge Mode or not.
