How is Gamefreak going to justify the removal of universally praised features? This is actually pretty huge. The most casual fans and especially critics have always praised a varied character customization especially in the few previous titles. This is such an aggravating step back it won't get a swift pass from the public. Even worse considering people haven't been exactly warm to Scarlet and Violet's design direction for the playable characters.
