Currently grinding my team for E4 rematch, just wanted to start a casual discussion while I do that.

Just played through the extra content post game normally then went back
also levels don't matter to me, I just do light screen, sword dance and sweep

I don't really grind. I just go out of my way to fight EVERY trainer. I always end up pretty much matching the Gym leader/League's levels.
IMO that's how Game Freak balanced the game.

I do too but in the case of black there isn't a rematch feature so you'll have to rely on audino

Not to mention I made an entirely new team just for the postgame and they need to be at 80 to have an advantage with the elite 4 and alder

Sorry. But in any case, rematch battles in recent games haven't been that harder anyway, maybe in BDSP, but certainly not in PLA.

Well in black when you're in postgame the E4 is up in the high 70s and you're usually around 55-ish when you beat the main story, so even if you decided to fight all the trainers in the eastern side of with the lucky egg unova you'll still need to fight audinos in order to get your team up to a good enough level to stand a chance. Unless you run some crazy setup but I'm saying this from a normal playthrough standpoint.

Usually I put on Vaush, the videos are nice and long so I don't have to tab over to start a new one very often. I also like the McElroys podcasts, or Behind The Bastards podcast.

Nice, how's my team looking for the E4 once they're higher in levels?

For context, dark types weren't super effective against steel/psychic in gen 5

How strange, I can't imagine playing through a game with so few mons from that gen on the team. You know Scrafty counters like 4/5 of the mons you'll face, right? If you get one that's not more than 5 levels under the champ you can solo the whole thing with it.
