It's funny, I hated it on the trailer reveal but I've grown to love it now, it'll probably be my version, I prefer an organic bro that has different running swimming and climbing animations and is a living beast rather than a sci-fi theme that clashes with the nature I'm spending the entire game in that I can't opt-out on later

I'm not even getting Scarlet (I always get the blue version games) and even I can tell you they just wanted to keep the bike motif. It's that simple. Koraidon is primative and biological. Sture it looks silly at first (give it another week and you're going to get over it) but it would have been really stupid to make the wheels work.

Maybe the reason is because they don't know how to rig the animations to have the wheels bounce with the environmental change.
If you just have it run or hover you don't have to change the animations or movement set to count for inclines or slopes or weird angles.
