Sorry, UP to 6v6. The point is that battles in the Pokemon universe are conducted in a Singles format with up to 6 Pokemon on either side, and this is reflected across all forms of Pokemon media (yes, I know Colosseum and XD exist, no, this does not magically disprove the point.) Regardless of your opinions on VGC (I think it's the "better" competitive format because battles are quicker which makes it more engaging to an audience) the complete dissonance is stupid. They should have far more double battles in the games to better familiarize the player with how they go so the optional competitive format is easier to pick up.

The singles meta is very switch-heavy so honestly a way to make switches more risky is fine.
But stealth rock actually applying type effectiveness is fucking bullshit. No pokemon deserves to lose half of their HP on entry, especially not the ones double weak to Rock

Hail would be ok i guess since its really straight forward but sandstorm is ground type and ground is super effective against rock and steel which both are immune to sandstorm. I feel like with gamefreaks programming skills the game just shit itself trying to figure out that damage calculation so they scrapped it
