Why don't people run technician on this thing? It's always skill link. Grow some balls and start hitting full defensive investment pex for 80% with tail slap

Skill Link does more damage than Technician on average. You would have to be incredibly lucky to do more damage with Technician

Also it should be noted that Ambipom usually runs Technician over Skill Link but only because it has a worse skill link abusing movepool

You just short a tie on damage with 3 hits and you greatly outdamage on 4 hits. there's about a 37.5% chance you only hit twice and get unlucky. You have about a 25% chance of 4+ hits. So you have over a 60% chance of matching or exceeding the damage you would do with skill link. I'd say that's worth it when your ohko and 2hko potential becomes insane

You still do damage even if you only hit twice, whereas a thunder miss does nothing. Granted that would only be about 25-30% hp on pex, but against other frail targets you're still hurting. 75-88% hp on weavile with only two hits

I know, im just saying that it's not a really equivalent comparison because you're still doing damage even if you hit the low end of your range. If you miss a thunder in most situations you're getting killed in returned, but if you hit twice with slap, you might still ko something
