I think its real funny that /vp/ is trashing on characters like Penny and Grusha when anybody who's made the mistake of going onto tumblr or the Western side of Twitter to look up art of literally any character that has even a handful of fans that can draw will know that mentally ill teens on tumblr don't care how much a character will "pander" to their tastes, they will project onto them anyways. I've seen these weirdos take characters that are inside-and-out cishet red-blooded white males and draw them with top surgery scars, make them black, have them act gayer than Richard Simmons, make them wear the weirdest clothes imaginable, and more. The reality of it is that it doesn't matter a lick what a character looks or acts like, cancerous Western artists do not give a shit. Nobody is safe, not your husbando, not your waifu, not your favorite Pokemon, not a single one of them. My suggestion is to stop seething and ignore them, half of the reason most of them even keep doing shit like this is to make you seethe and you're falling for it.
