Same, but it's hard to resist using this little guy in all of my teams. Alola was the best for letting me both use Raichu and technically a new Pokemon.

I’m gonna need to see more Pokémon before I decide. I always try to use new Pokémon but if I don’t see 6 I genuinely like then I start choosing different generations. Looks like tyranitar will probably be on my team

In BDSP and Legends my team was a revolving door of randoms that I just picked up whenever I could. It was fun and not totally braindead epecially BDSP, the elite 4 is way harder than the rest of the game and nothing was at a good level so I had to use unlevelled Palkia.
I'll do the same for Scarlet.

First run is all new Pokémon. Second can have a few old favorites.

This Gen I may break the rule and use Gogoat since I skipped XY and it looks really cool. I know it's shit in battle, but first runs are about enjoying the journey.
