Does anyone know what the hell that red, spiky growth around Darkrai's head is? My 1st guess was teeth, but I don't think that its torso doubles as its mouth.

some sort of weird collar. its real head is rather small, and you can see the line of its chin at certain angles. it also can retract its entire head for some fucking reason

If Darkrai's final design was number 5, it'd actually be quite an improvement. Very similar to the published design, but much more monstrous and scary, but above all solves the weird red thing in front of it's head blocking it's view
