Since it's likely bipedal, I hope it's an acceptable anthro level of anatomy like Delphox, Zoroark, etc. - able to walk/run on all fours naturally - and its job/gimmick as unassuming visually as Gen 4 and 5's.

Because Game Freak only cares about Genwunners (who don't care about pokemon anyways, and will be happy with anything long as CHARIZARD is in), Zoomers (who need fursonsa to larp as), and Coomers/Fujos (who need waifus and husbandos ).

I agree in principle but beneath the fur skirt it's 100% actual fox in anatomy besides standing on two legs, which is why I included it as an example. Not a fan of it, but it's a good example.
