They should have retconned the following when they retconned Magnemite and Magneton:
Charizard - Fire/Dragon
Blastoise - Water/Steel
Primeape - Fighting/Steel (has metal cuffs on limbs)
Persian - Normal/Dark
Hypno - Psychic/Dark
Pinsir - Bug/Dark

Nope, Charizard is not a dragon, it's a fire lizard.
Also a retcon doesn't make sense, since Dragon existed since Gen I. The creators don't want Charizard as a dragon, cope.
Also the Primape one is dumb.

probably, but mantis shrimp also come in cool chromatic colors. they could put a spin on it by making it an actual chrome or quicksilver shrimp.

GF and the fans have had to bend ass backwards to defend why Charizard isn’t part Dragon. They even tried to fix it with Mega Evolution. Just admit that it doesn’t make sense.
