Yep. She was going to have an evolution in the Crown Tundra, but it was quietly scrapped after the BLM protests in summer 2020. They probably realised it would cause controversy in that environment so didn't even want to try it.

It’s ice to go with the fire and electric trio you also see in the legendary birds, all 3 got baby forms in Gen 2. The truth is Jynx wasn’t meant to be related to these two at all, one of the cut RBY Pokémon was meant to be an ice-type to go with electabuzz and magmar, to the point of it having “Buu” in its Japanese name just like magmar and electabuzz’s Japanese names do.

She was never a true part of the team, just had to step in as a proxy to get ice punch when the true third member of the trio beta yetimon got cut.

Jynx is part psychic, has completely different stat totals a kiss signature move completely unrelated to the others who don't even get one. Electabuzz and Magmar are respectively named EReBOO and BOObER, they are a version exclusive pairing. What I'm trying to say is that they are a duo.
