Last Sword and Shield set

No.51172181 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
We're at a finalizing point to where I can talk enough about the last TCG set, which will be a special set and release in February. Hopefully these names are all in English, sorry if I say the Pokemon's name incorrectly or as a different version.

The set will be called "Royal Triumph" and will feature cards from Japan's VSTAR Universe, promo cards released in Japanese that have not yet come over to America, promo cards that have also not been brought over and cut cards from previous sets.

It's also fair to say this list I have may include cards that won't be in the final set and turned
into special promos or boxes later down the line, so sorry in advance.

The set will revolve mostly around VSTARs and SwordShield Pokemon from what I can tell. The display art for the packs will feature Zacian, Zamazenta, Cinderace and Arceus.

A majority of the VSTAR cards in the set will be reprints, so expect Zacian and Zamazenta VSTAR to be the focus for new ones. There will additionally be an Eternatus VSTAR that limits bench space. Single-Strike and Rapid-Strike Urshifu will get new VSTARs as well as Ice Rider Calyrex. I don't think the other one was in the final list but it could change. Can't recall what the Urshifus did but I'm pretty sure Calyrex has an attack that does more damage the more energy it has.

VSTAR reprints will include Rotom, Zeraora, Charizard, Decidueye, Typhlosion, Samurott, Dialga, Palkia, Lilligant, Darkrai, Cresselia, Lucario, Zoroark, Giratina, Manaphy, Vulpix, Serperior, and Lugia. Not yet revealed are a Regidraco and Regieleki VMAX that work in unison.

Two new V-UNIONs will also release in I believe the actual set instead of one of the box products. They will be Arceus and Cinderace. Don't know what Arceus does, but Cinderace has a move that shuts off weakness, if I recall correctly. Packs that have them should be much thicker, so if you get a big pack, you'll probably have one of them.
