Most people don't bother transfering pokemon.

I think they were touched up, but it was pretty minor.
I believe the signature move animations were pretty good, too.
The regular animations were shit, of course. Dexit wouldn't actually be justified until PLA, which gave us noticeably-improved models and pretty good animations.

National dex only incentivizes transferring pokemon up. Even with how large the wild area was, there was no way they were going to put all 900+ pokemon in the grass, and even if they did, hardly anyone would have actually caught
all 900 of these little shits. Best case scenario, National Dex people would have needed to buy a Bank and Home subscription to continue not using the pokemon, which is something they can still do if they're so adamant about it.
My main gripe with the dexcut is how certain shillmons can never not be included, like all 9 eevees every generation and pokedex forever. I remember when BDSP came out and people were pissing their pants and crying because their mom's catdog they've used in every single game since '96 were locked until postgame. what good is having 400 pokemon when 200 of them are carried over every gen.

Sword/Shield will always be the most cursed games/generation ever

There are only 4 variants of the school uniform and all 4 are unisex.

pretty much completely killed my interest. Call me a retarded gimmickfag, but the only thing keeping me interested in pokemon was monotype, and dexcut completely killed monotype. Except for maybe a couple of types with really common distributions, most types became unviable in monotype, if you lose out on one pivotal pokemon because it got dexcut, you might as well not play.

But the general shitstorm was likely enough to make them consider how PR will be handled in the future, and potentially made them realise the games need to offer something just to keep discussion positive. Having your entire marketing effort dominated by one controversy just isn't what any company wants.

I think that's partly why they are saying less in general. They'll show trailers, not promise any more or make excuses. Most of the silly stuff comes from fans arguing about what gf meant. But if they just show off an open world people will go yeah okay that's an effort.

Every other game besides XY, RS, and Kanto had about an hour or two worth of postgame levels. IOA was just something those games already had in the first place. CT is longer but the Battle Frontier and PWT gives more mileage to people that actually attempt them. USUM has entirely new areas too.
SwSh's DLC isn't much more than what the older games had. Best thing about it is that you don't have to start a whole new adventure to do them and is slightly cheaper.

I wasn't even mad about the dex, but the excuses for not having it. And of course the game comes out and they're essentially the 3DS games, but without all the Pokemon. For any misgivings I have about SV, it at least didn't manage to kill all my interest in it unlike SwSh.

Is this really the hill swshfags chose to die on? The game was a trash hallway simulator with one big room in the middle. The story was trash. The endgame was trash.
