Get an MMO to spawn on top of it, then wait for the MMO to end. Save right before the rain storm stops, then the alpha will spawn. If it's not shiny, soft reset. As long as you saved before it spawned, it'll reroll.
I haven't tested this method myself but I read it on reddit

I checked and this trick is from after the last patch so it should still work.
It only works on static spawns but I assume you're using one anyway.

Yeah I’m going for Alpha Lucario in Alabastar Icelands. I’ve already gotten a shiny aipom from simply “resetting” back and forth from the village. The irony is I caught like 6 shinies without even trying but can’t get the static alpha lucario to pop shiny even with perfect pokedex page

ditto cannot be bred, but i agree >>51174367 its a huge waste of time trying to get a 5iv one, better to just get various 5 or 6iv male mons from various egg groups and use those. i know ditto seems like the ideal choice but the time wasted to get one is simply not worth just giving in to the simpler alternative.

I'm so glad Pokemon Pink by Jason Godwin took out the RNG Grinding.
Games are better without the grind. My job IRL is enough of a grind. When I play strategy games like Pokemon the solution shouldn't be "Grind more" or "Grind for the solution".
