The Pokemon Company gave me stockholm syndrome due to my sub-par childhood and now they continually abuse my mental state by cheapening something I, in my sheer autism, called sacred. Seeking help proved useless. Death looms over me

It is what it is, bro.
I'd always grown up being told I'd "grow out" of my nerdy interests but it feels less like I'm growing out and more like I'm being forced out by increasingly more corporate decision making.
It hurts to see not just Pokemon but other long-time IPs die just to appeal to lowest common denominator fans. Sonic and Dragon Ball also seem to be going through something similar.
If only it were anywhere near as easy to be interesting in something as an adult as it was as a child, I miss having that natural curiosity instead of already formed biases.
