The "Charizard in caps poster" may be a schizo, but the persecution is real, trashnime made Blaziken and Infernape so good that Charizard was surviving only because of TCG, Then Gen 6+ wanted to restore Charizard's popularity artificially, trying to make people forget about the two firefighters while making Charizard the perfect pokemon.
