I'm really struggling to think of a redeeming quality for these games. Yeah Emerald has some more content, but RS are still solid experiences.

Original DP is dog shit:
>Horrendously slow battles, movement speed, obstacles like marsh and snow.
>Lacking in type variety that sinnoh teams are a meme,
>Aesthetically unpleasing (fucking maths puzzles on slow lifts for the ghost type gym).
>Too many HMs. Somehow made a shitter version of flash by making it so you frequently miss adding to the slow battles.
>Story is awful and starts the generic trend going forward.

The only reason I can think of to play these games today is...You REALLY want to use a Glameow?

I disagree.

BDSP could have been WAY better, but even then they're not as slow, better variety due to underground and HMs don't take up move slots.

Better than the originals by default.

Yes, I did really want to use Mismagius, and how you get the starter is cooler in DP. I don't mind the lack of variety, it actually makes you put more thought into team development.

Not true. DP's story was a bland rehash of RS's story, with a crazy weirdo who wants to use the box legendary to destroy the world. I noticed this even as a kid. It didn't really set up any trends, just set in place the one that RS started - and which later games would subvert or ignore.
BW follows the trend of having a crazy weirdo who wants to use the box legendary to do something bad, but it's a twist: he doesn't want to destroy the world.
XY technically fits, but since the legendary is just a battery for the Ultimate Weapon, the story literally wouldn't change if you removed the legendary entirely, so I think it doesn't really count.
SM and SwSh both go in a completely different direction.

BDSP are easy-sissy-fied, remove HMs from the slots which are literally the only malus present in Diamond and Pearl which, without, becomes a baby game. Not to count the forced entire team exp share and that you can catch and fight level 30s in the underground after route 1.

The graphics are shit ridicolous, the following pokemon are even more ridicolous, EVEN THE OST is worse and ridiculized to go with the faggot game it is. The literal single interesting thing about it is the post-game time travel pink flower shit of the legendaries, cause it hints at Legends and the rooms are cool. But that's really little to make it valid, it's a shit game. The originals are better.

Wrong. Assuming you feel like using six pokemon DP is even harder than Platinum. The level curve at the end of the game is more vicious and lack of fire types makes pokemon like Bronzong more difficult to face.

The overhyped "superior" parts of emerald aside (muh magma dungeon full of gravelers and muh 10 second Rayquaza cutscene) it's the same experience.

Meanwhile, DP has all the problems listed in OP and you have to play Platinum for it to be playable.
