>>51195516>If pokemon were real would you own any?Yes.
>Which ones?Ideally my bros Azumarill, Galvantula, and Flygon at least. Probably a dog and cat Pokemon, plus a pseudo legend/side legend (something like Latios or Suicune, not world ending like Groudon or Dialga).
>How do you think your life would change? If it became a world like Pokemon, it would be perfect. I could travel around the world exploring different areas, looking for different Pokemon, meeting new people, all with my companions beside me and new ones to meet along the way. If it wasn't a world like Pokemon, things would kind of suck, I think (see below).
>How you think the world would change?Governments around the world would start placing restrictions on Pokemon, which ones you could own, how many, etc. Battles between trainers would likely be illegal, else heavily regulated.
Everything would be monetized. Factories would abuse Pokemon workers. Pokemon would be held behind store windows, having to pay exorbitant prices for some of them. Poaching would become much more commonplace than it is.
Anything recreational with Pokemon would have a price tag on it. You'd probably have to pay to have your Pokemon registered with the Government, then you'd have to pay to register it in a gym league. Even taking your Pokemon to a battle tent-like place would cost a lot to enter and participate. Even a Pokemon park akin to Amity Square would cost an arm and a leg.
There would be widespread abuse of Pokemon (sexual and other) along with other crimes reaching an all time high.
Militaries and Governments would also try to weaponize and capture very overpowered legends and control populations & take control of other countries for land and money.
Realistically, I think 9/10 people would treat and use Pokemon for good or neutral reasons, very much like a pet, but that 10% would totally fuck up the planet for everyone else. Pokemon can only work in a world that is nothing like the one we live in.
