Dynamax will just dodge everything because there are so many extra shit to it like Flinch immunity or outright being immune to Encore, let alone halving ALL damage. With Teralizing, if you think your Salamence is going to be targetted by Ice Shards from Mamoswine, you could Teralize into a Steel type to give yourself an extra turn, but you also lose your ground immunity and become weak to Earthquakes.
This makes Tera types so much better since not only is it intuitive, but it’s not a get out of jail for free card either. Smart players can always take advantage of you changing types.
