Pre-orders have been stupid forgettable shit for the last few generations. Last time I actually even tried to pre-order a pokemon game it was Moon version, and all I got was a fucking small round Lunala pin at a midnight release that I only bothered to go because it was on the way back home from work. This a multi billion company, they can afford to add an extra buck of effort or two to these things. If Gales Of Darkness, a nearly two decade old non-mainline game can give you a whole console skin as a preorder that these days cost 15-20 bucks at gamestop, so can these mainline games.
