I remember having to explain how to use a TM to this kid who claimed to be a die-hard fan that went back and bought a gba so he can play emerald, and then he spent like $1,000 getting a GameCube, Link cable and all the other shit he needed to get jirachi while also playing on a CRT. He said he wanted the authentic experience, but then got frustrated because the games were boring the shit out of him and he couldn't believe that anybody could stare at the graphics for too long. He's not the only one though. I remember having to explain the type chart to some teens after they got pissed I beat their legendaries with a normal team. Their excuse was something about how they only really played Go and collected cards.. so yeah these people are out there
