Does anyone even play legends anymore? Just installed it again for old time sake and just found out you can emote with your pokemon.

Shiny hunting is generally fun, but the varied dex quests to perfect a species help give different things to accomplish as you hunt.

No, ancient dead game for dinosaurs. Games are supposed to only last two weeks while my favorite onions faced streamers are playing them and the game is trending on twitter. After that they expire and die and lose all their value.

What do people even do in pla? I pirated it the second it leaked and played it for 2 days and then stopped I still have it installed on my hacked switch but I don't have any of the updates. How is the shiny hunting? I keep seeing people say it's the best in the series but let's go and swsh have some pretty fucking brainless shiny hunting methods

I sorta want to go back one day to finish up specific hunts, Mostly the Alpha Shiny Torterra, a Shiny Spiritomb (I may just breed that) and a Rowlet (I realized I don't want to turn my bred Rowlet into H-Decidueye, so I'll get one from here.

It's similar to Let's go in the sense that you are able to see the shiny in the overworld. That and the fact that instances tend to have specific Pokemon set as shiny means that if you know what to look for it's only a matter of time before you get one. Also completing the dex entries make it brain dead easy to hunt certain things.

spawn rates are fine. the only thing i found really annoying was cleffa because you couldnt complete the dex only with capture related tasks and that little shit has one spawn in the entire game that isnt directly next to a camp
also finding several eevee in obsidian highlands but that doesnt really count and was me being autistic

cherrim and some other ones ive encountered more than once by pure chance

I replay base game to get photos for memes. It’s still solid.

Replayed it last month after going through my backlog to tackle the outbreak dlc. Didn’t like the dlc thought it was too grindy. Loved the mass outbreak feature and the endurance mode they added tho, but some of the side quests were ridiculous (get a wurmple to at least level 90 lol). Glad I can say I’m 100% finished now

For actively hunting a specific mon in the past, you would need to go to jubilife until your desired outbreak appears, and check the horde for a shiny, if no shiny, reset and go back to Jubilife until the pokemon horde remains and repeat.

I think you are right in regards to the patch where the hordes will disappear after you go back to jubilife, I haven't hunted in a while.

The Method I wanna try is the Alpha Spawning one where you have a Massive Mass Outbreak spawn on the desired alpha, save on top of it and just reset until the Alpha appears. Or something like that.

I have around 100 hours of playtime, haven't even finished the main quest line. Had to put aside for a while now because of university work stuff. But i will pick it up again as soon as I have a little more free time on my hands.
I really enjoy the catching and pokedex mechanics this game offers. In mainline games I always try to catch everything I come across, so this is game in particular does it for me with the heavy emphasis on collecting mons.
