>>51208273Pokemon is the one thing 4Kids handled well enough to at least be watchable throughout its run, despite the highs and lows. It's the only Series they dubbed that's legitimately re-watchable for most of its tenure, the voice actors in particularly clearly gave it their all and I would take most of those performances back any day over what they were replaced with (also the music was so, so much better bac then).
Why they decided to go to shit later on, and pick out the wrong properties to license, I don't know though but their downfall ironically harmed this Series in Animation despite being beneficial everywhere else desu.
The less said about TPCi's dub however, the better, absolutely fucking destroyed the popularity of the Series overseas gradually and the dub is currently mocked universally or ignored by everyone not on Reddit or YouTube by now. It's still mindblowing how little they care about what they're putting out, probably because they've realized the show is nothing more than an ad for the games so they don't NEED to put any effort into it- as long as they smack the Pokemon label on it, idiots will still watch it.
