So I beat everything in base sword, and now have only the battle tower to look forward to. Should I do this now before going on the two DLC adventures, or do them first so Battle Tower is saved for last. All my Pokémon are 80+ so I’m just a little worried about reaching max level and making the DLC more boring that it probably already is.

boi, you don't gain experience in the tower and the tower will drag your mons down to 50 regardless of their actual level. the order you do them in will not affect how easy/hard either is objectively, but if you do the tower first then you will see less synergy/intelligent teambuilding in the DLC than you did in the tower.

Just make a different teams for the DLC once you have the Kubfu. The main story battles can only be done with that pokemon anyway, which you'll probably level with items.

The DLCs are a shit ton of fun if you like to actual build up a collection of Pokemon and train them. The Pokemon you find in the DLC Raid Dens and the rewards for beating them are greatly enhanced in the DLCs. Basically, just took a look at all the legendaries you can catch super easily with any type of PokeBall and will still have a 100% catch rate while giving you a 1/450 chance of it being a shiny if you have the shiny charm. Get to it.

Even the usum battle tree was better than the crappy sword/shield battle tower. I could use Lunala, Zygarde and the Tapus on 100 and my opponents pokemon were on level 50.

Battle Tower is set level, but it's also really easy this time around. You can even do it with the preset teams they hand you for it.

With the DLC you also get access to 2/3 post game activities. In crown tundra you get Dynamac Adventures which is kinda boring ngl, but you also unlock the Galar Star Tournament which you can take in solos or with an NPC partner from the story. In iron island you get access you get access to limited battles, which makes you use 3 Pokemon that share a type and the NPC opponents can use whatever the fuck they want

Honestly, I thought this was a good change. It’s not so easy that it’s mindless, but it’s easy enough that I can bring pretty much whatever I want and have a shot at success. Granted, you can make it a cakewalk if you so choose (via Ubers and the OU bois), but it’s nice that the player is given a choice at all. Much better than the RNG shitshow of battle tower’s past.

Leon being such a pushover is somewhat disappointing; it’s also kind of hilarious.

Unpopular opinion but I liked Isle of Armor better than Crown Tundra, it just felt more lively, had a really nice OST and Mustard and Klara were interesting characters.

I had fun playing through it having one high level Pokemon in the back to up the scaling to lvl 70 and using my lvl 50 competitive mons to fight.
