That's what people(and nu-gamefreak) don't understand when they're designing shit.
Pokemon design generally fit into 3 categories the first few gens:
Nature: which was the majority of common Pokemon. Animal/Earth/plants/etc
Mythical: which was what mew/ghost/ho-oh/etc were. They were above nature. They related to the wonder of the human mind and legends of culture. That's why mythical themed Pokemon were generally legendary or extremely rare to the point of being legendary.
Unnatural: Mewtwo/grimer/Porygon/etc. They existed solely as antithesis to both nature and myth based Pokemon. Every unnatural Pokemon was viewed as a menace and a sin against nature. Mewtwo wrecked havoc and wanted to destroy humanity the same way Frankenstein did. Porygon caused glitches in computer systems. Magnemite/Voltorb/Grimer were all found in abandoned industrial areas to show the danger in industrialization.
But now you get people who make a pillow or mirror or a fucking car that drives you around and then point at the existing unnatural Pokemon as if they fit in because they never think beyond what themes their existence protrays.
