SV is adopting BDSP's style for its icons. Any Pokémon not in either game won't have a matching icon, causing inconsistencies unless HOME changes its icons to match that style.

Simplest solution is to just use Home assets for everything and ditch the autistic clinging to sprites. Fanmade sprites are literally the most unnecessary and complex solution anyone can even suggest you retard.

The issue with implementing Sugimori art is that it uses a different naming convention to mini sprites. It's "#name-form" instead of "#initial of form". I recommended many times to create redirects for Sugimori art, so Hisuian Samurott'' "503Samurott-Hisui.png" could have a redirect "503SamurottH". You just then need to change the templates to include the name already given as a parameter in the art's code. Sure, it's the lazier solution, but it wouldn't cause any real issues.
