If you read this all your cock will grow 5 sizes.
>GEN 1
Iconic. Perfect blend of cool and animal like. Can't pick a favorite since they all do what they're meant to do perfectly.
>GEN 2
A step down from Gen 1 but still subscribe to the same feel as the previous starters. Feraligatr and Meganium clearly illustrate what type of Pokémon they are from design alone.
>GEN 3
A depature but still keeping the conventional cool design. A bit more streamlined and taking a few more liberties rather than sticking to an animalistic design.
These first three I feel are the strongest designed Pokémon gens.
>GEN 3 = GEN 1 > GEN 2
>GEN 4
More aritistic liberties are taken in regards to Empoleon and Infernape being based more on actual characters. Torterra still sticking by previous conventions. All succeed at their goal
>GEN 5
No longer is it enough for a Pokémon to be based on an animal, its now has to be based on a character/concept too on top of representing their element. A fire sumo pig, A smug superior grass snake and a Samurai Water Otter with swords. The streak from the previous 4 gens is now broken.
>GEN 6.
Likewise with Gen 5. The Pokémon are now based on characters/concepts. However this time complementing their typing and providing a cool RPG Character Role dynamic. Mage/Witch/Fox. Rouge/Ninja/Frog. Tank/Knight/Hedgehog. More thought has been put into giving each design their own goals and I feel this is the best trio since the first three.
>GEN6 > GEN 4 >>>>> GEN 5
After Gen 6, I lose all interest. All the future designs legit just feel like gamefreak is throwing darts at a board. "Urgh a fire.... cat... who is a wrestler...." "a grass gorilla who is a drummer". Cinderace and Inteleon at least tie into the region. Being a Footballer and a 007 spy.
