>>51241245>The only bad thing about the split is that MOST mixed attackers are no longer viable.fify. you're basically right but a few Pokemon still work as mixed attackers due to having amazing offenses with enough speed to back it up of just having such huge BST's that the distrubtion hardly matters.
The main problem with the split is that Atk and SpA are so similar that having both is redundant most of the time. There are still some difference s (In general physical attackers have more things that counter them, but they general have far better coverage than special attackers and don't have to put up with Blissey), but for the most part, its better to just focus on either Atk OR SpA and ignore the other entirely.
I've always thought that there should be a few moves that use both offenses in the damage calculation.
